Dreaming to Build an Ark

@ Main Uddin

It was said, you would get promised land
No doubt, it was given only for a few years
Later, thou the questions were raised
With a storm of words reaches flood stage.

A couch is bobbing in the currents
towards its mangled ruin-nexus
of matchsticks in cyclonic flow
among the renegade of the mighty river
trash, hanging from the limbs like tinsel

Why did thy promised us
that you would build the safest
arks for all by yourselves
with the help of grow more foods scheme.

Long far in the back of our houses
on Anil Nagar or Nabin Nagar
in the hilly capital City, thou can feel
to the singing of the streetcars.

After the story of Noah
Whom nobody believed about the waters
that would rise over everything
same as our houses went down every year.

When I told my father as
I wanted to build a modern ark
for us from our own
to get the safest place to survive.

Still, I believe that can be done
as thou promised us that
nobody will believe us
I said that we are building an ark.

we would build arks in riverine areas
nobody would believe, waters are coming
The river may crack its whip but it got nothing on her
nothing is left standing in her way except the Ark.
